Hi, it's been a while. Not only have we moved but we've also had a holiday and Scott's changed jobs. How exciting life can be. I am back playing hockey on a Friday night - Social of course and after not playing for 15 years it is a bit of a laugh. The number one thing is to have fun, of course we are concerned whether we win or not and then we catch up for a few (often too many), drinks afterwards. I have done only alittle bit of scrapping since I was last on this spot. Right now, I am trying to work out my chrissy cards, and happy to say that it's working out well. Ella had her Prep orientation this week - she is so excited and she ended up with the teacher we wanted also. Keep smiling and have a great weekend! bx

Back and Spoilt

Well, here I am again. And another year older. 33, WOW! I was so spoilt for my birthday. Between going to movies on Monday with my Aunt while my cousin babysat Bai. We saw 23 - Jim Carrey's new movie. I thought it was great as it wasn't at all predictable. I sent Scott and Andy to see it last night. I think they liked it but maybe not as much as I did. In the mail, I got Gold Class movie tickets from my God mother and a butterfly suncatcher from my friend Anita. Then on Tuesday, my good friend Kathy gave me a voucher to Gloria Jeans, so I 'shouted' my little family to morning tea in between hockey games on Saturday. She also took Bai for the day so Scott and I could have a romantic lunch. Thanks Kathy, that was fantastic. Chanel gave me a beatiful tea strainer with a teacup on the end and beautiful perfume bottle. I will take a photo later so you can see. Scott's parents looked after Bai on Wednesday so I could go to pilates and the prep building blessing - it was so well done. They gave me money so my 'shout' for dinner on Wednesday - Cortina Pizza - Yummy! So we are onto day 3 and yes it's still going. So far I hadn't really looked after Bai for three days. Scott and the kids gave me a hair straightener and shirt - yes I picked this year as these were well overdue. Then on Friday, I got the most wonderful and unexpected prize from my lovely sister. A pampering voucher from Pure Indulgence. Why is it sister's just know what you need. I will save that until we move so the stress doesn't undo it's good. Today, though was someone else's birthday. Chanel's. And yes we did play ladies, which we are very good at I may add, and went to Queenies for high tea and champagne. It was beautiful. I'M BACK....

Hello and hope you are all well. We are but a little bit busy. I am not happy to report I have also had a recurrence of migraines which is not making life easy or happy. So, business first, we put our house on the market. Scott got photos taken while we were at Pottsville on the Thursday/Friday of the holidays. The sign went up last Thursday and we had our 1st open house on Saturday. By Sunday, we'd signed a contract and we got very close to what we asked. I feel someone is shining down on me. Had the building and pest inspection this arvo so hopefully that will be fine. However, the agent does want another open house on Saturday (just when I thought I could relax a little) not sure why but will comply even if it's only to build her client base. What do they say, 1 good turn deserves another. Right? Anyway, that's the latest news, try and do some more blogging after the march tomorrow. We march in the Kedron/Wavell march and the kids can choose to do it with school or hockey. It's a little bit more special with hockey as Dave, a friend and coach, is very passionate about ANZAC day because his father fought in the war and teaches our kids alot about it. My grandfather taught us so much in the same way and we never missed watching him in the city parade. Then, finally, John Paul Band got to march with them for a few years. It was such an honour as back then you couldn't just march unless you had fought in the war. I waited 15 years to do that and I think he got as much of a kick out of it as Nat and I did. Just thought I'd share that with you. Anyway, going to pick up Scott and go for coffee - the kids are a little excited and getting 'prettied up' - better go and check. Brontx

Easter Bunny Delights

HAPPY EASTER TO ALL! We've had a pretty great week-end in the Fletcher House. First of all - School's Out for 10 days. Loving That. I just love holidays (maybe minus the sugar today) they are so relaxing and we really don't do alot but a bit of hibernating and recharging. We went for fish n chips with my family on Thursday night. My sister and her kids were meant to come up but a man drowned right outside their house in the arvo and she was pretty shook up. I can understand but we missed them heaps. Friday, we went down to Sandgate to watch the start of the boat race. The feeling down there was alive. We went with Scott's parents and two of his Aunts, and then ran into another aunt down there. Then Saturday, one of my best friends, Nerida, who I haven't seen for a bout a year came with her husband and their 2 children. They have grown so much. It's a shame we don't get to see more of them. Today, Easter Sunday, has been great. The Bunny hopped on through here last night and delivered some fantastic books and tiny eggs to have a hunt with. I just love these traditions, followed by 9.30 mass and arvo tea with Scott's parents. The kids have had a lovely day and it's great to see their smiles and be making happy memories with them. Better go and cook something for dinner and I'll be back to post some photos I took today - finally got those batteries for the camera. Stay well!

Sunshine and Sport

What a great weekend! Saturday was truely our day of sport. It started at 8.30 with Tommy and Ella playing their first hockey games for the season. Tommy scored a goal, after many years of playing it has clicked. Ella got a bit involved but was preferring to chew her mouth guard. The under 9's won (no Fletchers in that game but it looks like Tommy will be one of the reserves). Next up, under 11's, Danny's game at 10.30. We played Bulimba and it was a tight game. We won 3-2, I know it's not about the final score but they try so hard and they are the team I manage and help coach. We had quite a few new players as well. Very proud. Then, under 13's. We started with a team of 5 which slowly increased to 8 (addition of 2 players who we'd never met) so Danny, Paul, Brendan and Tom were added. The game started wiath Easts ready to go and us still counting our players (no positions yet), so Easts thought they were going to wipe the floor with us. WRONG! Since the score was 3 all and Danny scored 2 and Paul 1, who are u11's. Fantastic job. They really worked as a team. Wish I could bottle the feeling we felt. Then we went to watch one of scott's workmates play rugby union at Crosby Park. Wow what a day. Hence the relaxation today, just a bit of shopping - markets and woolies. Just sitting here listening to 30 Seconds To Mars - "The Kill" : Love that song so much. But all time favourite for now is Justin Timberlake - "What Goes Around". Just love the 13 minute film clip. Yahoo 7http://www.yahoo7.com.au in the music section. Love this site, as I've said a few times. Just nice to hear a different range of music while working. We had a little family dinner for Scott's b'day last night. You know the type - Roast lamb, potatoes, veges and gravy on the good plates and with the good cuttlery, glasses of champagne and iced banana cake (chosen by him yes not the usual carrot cake). Anyway, that was all very nice. Just after we put the kids to bed one of my good friends from hockey rang to say she'd done the newletter - which I was suppose to help her with, anyway, got talking and she happened to ask what we got Scott for his b'day. Well, with a huge gasp and a giggle - I realised we forgot that small part. Not totally hopeless. The kids couldn't wait, so Friday we gave him the new mobile we bought him as I knew the secret was not going to last. But unfortunately the very much needed shorts were still in the cupboard. So to his liking, he woke to presents today, aswell. I must add Mondays we have swimming and things do get a little hectic. Speaking of swimming, I must go and get Danny ready for today's lesson. Busy week-end? Understatement. Hockey training on Friday night and I'm already having anxiety attacks about running the training session solo next week on first game eve. Ugh! Saturday started with dropping Scott and Dj at work and taking the three younger ones down the road to the local park for a party. They had a great time and the weather was fantastic. 12.30 and time to drive to Noosa for a Newton family lunch. Sandy, Peter and the 4 kids are doing a year's road trip around Australia (starting in Perth where they live) so we all went to say Hi. Since it's Scott's birthday on Monday his parents shouted us a night in Noosa. WOW how exciting and lucky. I feel so special indirectly. Today, we went and picked up Jordan and for the boys to have a play. Then back home for the footy game (which Brothers won 24 -16). So basically good but busy week-end. Just thought I'd quickly run down and post my latest layouts. Had a great day yesterday. Started with pilates - loving it while Bai went to the in-laws. When I got home he still wasn't ready so Scott and I had a lovely, peaceful lunch together. What a rare and novel idea. When Bailey finally returned he was asleep so I also got out of Kindy pickup. What a lovely treat. Today, have achieved a bit more cleaning out of old and tired toys. What a great feeling. Need to do some of the kid's clothes tomorrow - only done Ella's so far. Hope to do some more tomorrow but must get the rest of Scott's b'day pressie. Anyway, have fun until next time, Brontx

Monday Already

Where have the last few days disappeared to? Friday, 1J had their first mother's get-together. Pretty interesting and noisy. Then grocery shopping - wow how exciting. I then worked my butt off at hockey training - I know what you're thinking. Isn't it for the kids? Yes but they are cunning and if they see a chance to slack off they will, so I'm living by the motto - Lead By Example. So I get some exercise and a few days of painful muscles. Doesn't worry me. Saturday was a pretty casual day - we went to this little bakery for morning tea at Newmarket. They make such nice food. We then went to this park at Toowong which we have not been too since Thomas was 18mths. Actually, I will pull out the layout I did for my mum the last time we went and show you how cool it is. We all had a great time on the flying fox. Yes even I managed to sneak in a few goes. It is fun to just act like a child again. That is 2 park trips in 3 days - not bad. Saturday night I went to Blossies at Morayfield for a crop night with a few friends. I managed to get two layouts done. Not bad since I also manged to do a lot of talking and catching up. Sunday, we were meant to watch Danny play Footy, but due to poor organization we didn't. We drove to Burpengary only to find out that the game wasn't there, drove back to our fields at Stafford where only cricket was being played. Since we couldn't reach anyone on the phone we ended up at the Coffee Club on Racecourse Road where we ran into Scott's Aunt and Uncle. So it all turned out nicely in the end but it was looking pretty ugly from all sides at one stage. A bit of cleaning out, a trip to the Vinnie bin and time to get ready for Monday again. Monday has been a bit boring, but house work must be done so that there is a free day to do something fun later in the week. Anyway, must say farewell and hurry to swimming lessons. 3 wks to go and counting.

Hello Muscles

Today I tried Pilates for the first time. What a great experience. I can feel muscles that I haven't felt since the good old dancing (or torture - as I sometimes refer to them) days. I will definitely be doing another class and I knew a few of the girls so that made it a bit better too. The week is chugging along alright without too many hiccups or major catastrophies. Just got an invitation to a Newton cousins catch up with some that are over from Perth - should be a fun arvo though I think Tommy has a party first so we may be a little late. Oh well. Good to catch up though. Anyway, better go and check on homework. Thomas has finally got some and is very excited. The books are done now it's time to start the sight words. Wish me luck!!!

How hot is today? It is very hot! We went to watch Danny play his first game of rugby today at Redcliffe. They were beaten and the other team's kids were huge. That's life and our guys expect that 100 points for trying as I couldn't tackle someone 2 0r 3 times my size. Good to be back watching sport. After the game we went for a coffee at Reddy, again sat and watched the water - so nice and relaxing but half way through Scott had a sneezing attack. Poor thing, he's a little grumpy as one can imagine and understand. We only had Danny as the others went back with the in-laws. He just loved the 2 on 1 attention he was receiving. As it's been a bit hot I have just finished another page! Yeah.

Saturday Again

Well, it's Saturday again. I really don't know where time goes. I suppose this week has included an all day zone swimming carnival for Danny. I have done a bit of catching up with people too which is always a bit refreshing, one being a girl I went to school with sho I've seen just a few times. A bonus really, she was sitting in a coffee shop that I walked past, so we ended up having coffee and chat - how great. Another was my cousins wife. They are back in Brizzy after a stint up north and I finally got to meet their youngest who is a few months older than Bai, so that was nice aswell.
Last night we went ou with a few of the gr 4&5 mums to a local restaurant. As the kids get bigger you don't get to see or talk much to many of the mums. It was a nice, but very late, night. I met a few new people too which was nice.
Anyway, am slowly waking up and since I swept the floor at 2am, may give myself a little scrapping time and post the results later. Hope you enjoy the weekend! Brontx

What a beautiful day in Brizzy. The weather is gorgeous and we went to Redcliffe for brekky. It was so nice just to sit and look out at the water. I just finished a page I have been working on for ages. Not quiet as good as I thought it would be, but it gets the message across. Had a very hard day of cleaning but was rewarded with fish and chips for dinner. We had our first hockey training last night, so good to be back and running around! A bit sore and tired today but will survive. Danny had his swimming carnival yesterday and he did very well - second for freestyle and backstroke, fourth for butterfly and first for breaststroke. All 5om, so proud as his journey has been long and sometimes painful. Just waiting to see if he's going to zone 6. Anyway, time for a well earned cup of tea even though it's still a bit hot up here.

Finally back

Sorry been missing in the action of the everyday life hum drum. Not much exciting news has happened. Danny has lost two teeth - funny as the tooth fairy was a bit slack. First the tooth got accidently poured down the sink and then due to it not being a reminder, she forgot to come for two days. Needless to say when he lost the second no-one can bear to throw it out. He has also been sick this week, hard to tell if he's just exhausted. He has apparently pulled a muscle in his side. Anyway Friday tomorrow so hopefully we'll be on track by the week-end. Tommy is a bit tired from school, it's taking him a little while to adjust to the whole 5 day routine. I suppose when you've done 5 day fornights for most of your schooling the habit is hard to break. Ella turned four this week. Yeah! But still didn't quite get the party organized, maybe next year! She rang Scott's Cousin's little girl last night, so cute. Hi this is Ella may I please say happy birthday to Immy. They are two days apart and they get on so well. She is growing up so fast! Bailey, still as bold as ever. Had his first play day without me on Monday. It was pretty easy because he loves Kathy so much. He just went with her. See I told you that not much has happened. Anyway, must get the kids ready for swimming.

Is there any more Champagne?

WOW! What a great week-end. Scott had to work yesterday so we cleaned the house. (as you do right). But last night we went, kid free, to a friend's house for their birthdays. It was a fantastic dinner party. The food was fantastic and the company even better, if possible. 11 people and everyone clicked and had the same type of personality. To top it all off one minute it was 11pm and then someone got up and started moving because it was 12.30. That's what I call having a good time.
Today, we have been at a picnic with a few of Scott's cousins and his brother. Again a great day and lost track of time, and more champagne (something about the hair of the dog). We went to newfarm park which is always good value. On the way to dropping Andy home we went to the Coffee Club for some take-aways and he picked up some slices (which we ended up bringing home - going to be another great dessert night.
I have faced some challenges over the last couple of days - I have had to face some difficult situations and talk to some people I do not feel comfortable around. I have astounded myself and risen to the occassion and not done too badly. Ok, so we'll never be best of friends but it will make school and family functions a little easier. I'm so proud of myself.

Where Does Time Go

It's Wednesday! Where has the week gone? I suppose between ironing, cleaning and getting everybody from A to B there's not much time left. Just went on the Yahoo 7 and found that Grey's Anatomy season 3 starts next Sunday. Wow, didn't think it would be this soon. Well, just another night of TV. We have had a pretty good week so far, I have my emily challenge up to date and just have to do this weeks. I will try and post them later. It has been alot of fun and pretty quick and easy. Ella has had Kindy for the last 2 days (1/2 days) and she has loved it. Today she did some painting - I think that is her favourite thing. I had to bribe Bailey to leave today - a vienese finger from Gloria Jeans as yesterday we dragged him out kicking and screaming to stay. He did not stop until we got to Ascot. We went to this cute little cake shop - Vanilla Pod. It would have to be one of my favourites. Yesterday was one of my friend's birthday so we bought her a treat while we were there - A baby bread and butter pudding. I hope she liked it as much as our sweet muffin. Anyway, must attempt to start dinner as we have run out of milk and will need to pick up Scott. House returns tonight and here's hoping to being able to get up early tomorrow and try some skipping (was successful last Thursday but none since, mainly been concerntrating on being organized). Lazy Week-ends

Saturday again! We had Scott's parents come to pick Tom up for a play (his reward for getting to 20 points this week) so I made a huge lunch and made them stay. It was great - potato bake, sausages, ham, salad, cherios and pasta. What a great way to start a week-end, especially since I didn't open my eyes until 9.30am (yes you read right), I think Scott had already put in more than a day's work in the garden by then. Danny's gone to watch the Kookaburras play hockey at SHC with a friend. So the house is a bit quiet.
Yesterday ended our first week of school. We made it and the house and myself are still organised. More good news it rained and our air conditioning is fixed! So glad. Went for coffee on way home from picking Scott up and ran into some of his family, nice to have a catch up. Anyway, going to try and start my Emily challenge before dinner. Brontx

School year 2007 - no turning back

Well, we have done it. The school year has now started and we have completed our 2nd day. YEAH! Such an accomplishment. Both of the boys are doing great and their behaviour has changed drastically (it needed to) and I am very proud. Ella had her 1st 1/2 day at Kindy yesterday and she is counting down the sleeps until she goes again. Haven't done any scrapping this week as trying to be more organized and it is working. House is clean, washing and ironing up to date and even managed to cook a few banana cakes today as it was slightly cooler. Feeling pretty together and confident. Anyway need that oh so important cup of tea. Finally uplaoded a page that is my latest for the local shop. Brontx

LONG WEEK-ENDS

What a great, but hot, week-end. Almost ready to go back to school, just a few more books to cover and name, Ella's hat and cup for kindy and haircuts (thank goodness tomorrow) as Danny can hardly see. All the ironing and washing is now up to date, floors nearly finished. All in all a productive day.
On Thursday, we caught up with some friends and had a swim. The weather wasn't as bad as we thought it was going to be. We then dropped DJ at Dad's so he could go down the coast and stay for a few days. How exciting! They stopped at Yatala Pies on the way down and arrived about 7.30. As we were dropping him off we were hit by a serious downpour, so we went to the coffee shop around the corner and waited for it to pass (the other 3 needed a bit of a treat since Dan was getting one).
Friday, Australia Day, pretty hot. We ended up at Scott's cousin's unit and had a swim and BBQ. Their baby is now 3 weeks old and we got to have a cuddle. She has grown a bit but she's still really tiny.
Saturday, we went to the coast to pick up DJ. We spent the day with my Sister, Dad and Co. We had a great time. We also had to go to some friend's 30th. We had a great time as we usually know most of the people (I went to school with quite a few of them). Food and drinks, laughter and catching up - good receipe for friendship. Glad they're back from Melbourne and expecting their 1st baby. Managed to get the ball rolling on a baby shower too. We had a pretty good trip back but it was so hot and hard to sleep last night.
Just got back from signing the kids on for hockey. It'll be Ella's 1st year - she can't wait! We haven't told Bai he's not playing yet - he won't be happy (guess by 2nd game he might be in the team!). We then went to Racecourse Rd for a coffee, it was very relaxing and great coffee.
Anyway my pies are smelling ready, best go and put on some veges. I'll try and post my latest challenge page for the local shop. Brontx

School Shoe Blues

What a day! We spent time at the shops doing that last bit of school shopping. Ran into heaps of people we knew too. We only had to get a few things but 4.5hrs later we came out and were extremely grumpy and hit the heat. The car air-conditioning is still broken (part nit arriving from Japan for another 2wks). Anyway, only one real disaster, Danny wanted different shoes to the usual affordable Lynx school shoes. Surprising we get home and he doesn't like the more expensive, had to have pair and they are a little loose! GREAT! What do you do other than have a yelling match because everyone is too hot and tired to tolerate each other. Anyway, most are in bed asleep now. Only my lovely 2 yr old is up because he had another late sleep. While in K-mart we ran into Scott's cousin and her 3 girls, so we parted did our quick shoe shopping (Tom and Bridget) then met at Gloria Jeans for a well earned coffee break. My kids were a bit loud but as she was quick to point out, we were in a book shop not a library. We also saw a dinosaur from the Walking With Dinosaurs show. The kids loved it that we had to watch it twice. Anyway, must go NCIS returns tonight and I am in need of a cup of tea and a piece of freshly baked banana cake. YUM! Nite nite Brontx

King Tides...

We went to Sandgate today to see the king tide. Oh what fun. The kids had a ball, especially Bailey who was screeching with delight every time he got wet. We then had morning tea at Doug's with Scott's parents. It was then time for a creative arvo. I made these photo frames and this album. I thought they might be ok for the carnival Chanel. MOVIE DAY

Well, happy to say I've finished 2 pages this morning. Yeah! Feels so good. We had a bit of a slack day today. We went to the Southbank Cinemas this arvo to see "Flushed Away". It was so clever and we all really enjoyed it. After the movie we went to our favourite deli in Grey St - Poppys. They make a nice strong coffee (I know this doesn't really sound like me) and I needed it. It's nice to go to a place (actually for nearly 4 yrs) and notice that all the staff are the same. Anyway, need my last cup of tea and bed. Nite Brontx

Swimming, Bike Rides and Food...

Well it's been another few busy days in the Fletcher household. Thursday, we went to a friends house for a swim. Between the 4 of us we had 13 kids. Oh my goodness. It was very busy but they all got along very well which is always a bit of a relief. As usual there was alot of great food to be eaten as well. It really is my favourite past time. Lunch, which is usually sultanas and cheese on toast when I'm feeling a bit posh, was a beautiful fresh salad and lasagne. Lasagne would have to be up there as a favourite dish of mine. The kids were sad to go, but after 5 hrs in the sun, they were hammered. Three of them had a lovely sleep in the car. So they were able to stay up a bit longer and they chose Shrek 2 to watch.
Friday, was a very energetic day. We met a friend and her dad at Sandgate and went for a massive walk. We were gone for over an hour and had to take Ella and Ned back. The others ended up riding to the bridge and back. Danny then ran up to the pool and back. Oh to have that much energy and fitness still. They were so tired.
It was then time to meet my sister and her kids at Albion Maccas, such a stable meeting place for us since the kids were born. The kids thought it was great. They were so loud as they only had a limited time to get everything out and tell all their stories. The promise of visiting the coast next Saturday did make for an easier departure though. Both Ella and Bai had a sleep, how wonderful! Tom fell asleep again when we went to pick up Scott, but soon woke up when asked if we were stopping to have a hot chocolate. Back home and the kids are back to being obsessed with Cars (Bai loves it!). Tommorow we are going to the movies for a bit of an easy day. Brontx

Sunny Qld Days

Well, the weather was just beautiful in Brizzy today. We spent the morning at the lagoon at Redcliffe with a friend and her 2 girls. It was so relaxing and the kids had a great time just going under the water. What a great way to spend the morning. The only complaint from the troupes was sore eyes and a bit of sunburn as there was a beatiful breeze to hide the complete effects of the sun's rays (eventhough they were smothered in suncream). We then went to Sams on Sutton for chips and a bit of calamari for lunch. Home then for a sleep, well Bai anyway. The others watched Mousehunt again. They found it in the cupboard and have revived it again. I got a P-Touch labeller last night (watch out Tania! You may have met some competition!??) so I had a bit of a play this arvo. My extent of excitement other than vacing the house and car. What a life I have.

Tired Summer Days

What a day. I think the week-end has caught up. The only thing I acheived today was buying the kid's lunch boxes and having a lovely morning tea with my 3 younger children. Danny had a play at a friend's house this morning so alot of the day was spent in the car driving from one place to another. Oh well. We are know going to sit and watch Mousehunt with the kids so until tomorrow. Bront

GOOD TIMES AND GREAT FRIENDS

What a week-end! The kids are absolutely stuffed today. I don't think they'll even be able to rise from the lounge room floor. We went to Sandgate for dinner on Friday night and a big walk along the new boardwalk. It was so pretty by the water. They have put so much work into it all. I think there was even a couple celebrating their engagement - glow sticks in the shape of a heart, champagne and flowers! So romantic!
Saturday started with a few odd jobs and then a trip to IKEA. It is so big and wonderful now. Then it finished off by going to some friends. The kids all had a great time and ther was so much food. Tanya was worried about her cooking as she thinks we hardly ate but I definately rolled out of there. The company and choice of wine was great too. Not to mention dessert.
Sunday was again full of odd jobs. Then out again to another lot of friends house. More food and alcohol! Gee, it's a hard life but someone has to do it. The kids have not stopped as both lots of friends had pools and cricket sets.
Anyway, as usual Monday was house cleaning day as I am sure Tuesday will be as well (due to swimming lessons). But now I think it is time for a cup of tea and bed. Brontx

Craft Days - Simple Pleasures

Where has this week gone? I feel we haven't achieved many great things. This afternoon, we are doing a spot of painting as a craft session. Ella is doing a dolphin canvas, Danny is doing some photos and painting for his cousins, Tommy is applying a lot of paint to a canvas and Bailey is doing a window painting of Thomas the Tank Engine (his favourite at the moment). At the moment we are trying to decide where to go for dinner, my friend Jo gave me a few good and new suggestions so I think we will use one of those. It's good to have friends that share the same interests, such as good food, as you.
I have done quiet a few scrapbook pages this week, the creative inspiration has hit. I picked a word for the year after reading Ali Edwards newsletter. I also did her challenge:

I have loved Robert Louis Stevenson since we did some work on him in Gr 4 with Mrs Mac and the second is from one of my favourite movies. I picked HOPE because this word is one I see alot of each day as it's hanging in our kitchen. Really, hope is a wonderful thing to have.

Old Times and Good Times

Well, the kids have returned. They are a little tired from all of their activity and constantly being spoilt. Here's hoping bed will be easier tonight. Then I suppose someone better tackle that pile of folding.
Today, we had a friend visit with her 2 children. We have been friends for so long - I went to school with her so I suppose it's coming up to 20 years. Oh how old! The kids didn't stop running for the entire 3hrs. Wow, I would love to have that much energy. Just to run around the block at the moment would make my day.
I think another cup of tea might be in order as it is a bit overcast and turning into a nothing sort of relaxing arvo.

Sunday 7th Jan
Have had a fantastic week-end! Not only with one child which has been very relaxing but also not doing much or working to time. Yesterday we went for breakfast at Spoon at James Street and a little shopping. Got a few cooking things from Wheel and Barrow and Taste. Then home for a little rest. Have actually done 2 scrapbook pages and written in my planner (yes Chanel the one from Kikki.k) and feel a bit more organized.
Today started off with a bit of house cleaning but the vac wasn't quite working (been dying for some time now). So unfortunately had to go to Myer at Chermside to buy a new one with our x-mas money. How exciting, now just have to try it out, maybe after dinner. We had Morning Tea at Lido on Racecourse Rd. They make the best hand cut chips and aioli. YUM!
This afternoon was spent turning a noodle box into some wrapping for Scott's cousin. She had a baby girl, Lucy Kay on Thursday. So we bought her some cute little pink clothes from Cotton On Kids. We went to visit her at 5.30. Oh so cute.
Anyway, better go cook some dinner for Scott and I (thank goodness I fed Bai before we went). Kath, the kids return tomorrow arvo in time for swimming. Do miss them.

Friday 5th January,
Well, what a big day! We dropped Scott at work. Went and visited Aunty Sue, Sarah and Lachie. Then off to Chermside! We had a massive morning tea at Borders/Gloria Jeans - My favourite book shop. Toomy had a muffin that was so big that everybody had some and there was still some left. The kids got an activity type of book - Danny a diary with black pages and a silver pen, Tommy - a book on how to doodle dogs and Ella - one on how to make fairies. Then off to Kikki.K to buy a few essentials including a late xmas present for my Godmother. Then to Woolies for some supplies.
At 3pm, Ray picked up the kids to take them to Pottsville for the weekend. Wow. We just have Bailey. He is already asking when the others will be home. We just went to the Coffee Club at Wilston for dinner. Bailey picked lemonade and chocolate cake - how nutritious.
Anyway, hope you have all had a fun day. Hope to fill in some of my planner and finish a scrap page tonight (ha ha) may just get an early night. Bxo
